Take the time to ensure the people who are on your phone, are the people in your circle. I found this especially deleting toxic people from my phonebook. Taking the time to go through your contacts list can be extremely therapeutic. How often have you gone through your contacts and deleted numbers? As phones and technology are more sophisticated now, we are able to transfer all information from one device to another at relative ease. This is something I actually have done on a regular basis and that is go through my contacts list. Not only will removing them enable you to stay on task, but it makes your phone looks clean. Those red badges are always sucking us into those apps due to the fear of missing out. Push notifications and badges can be hugely distracting which stops you from being productive. This may not be a tip that everyone wants to put into practice. You can choose the right method that works best for you and what you think looks aesthetically pleasing. You continue that method throughout your phone. For example: you have a folder with all social media platforms in, so next to it you will place your top 3 social media apps. The shelving method is having a folder to the left and next to the folder is the 3 apps used most frequently. There are a variety of ways to organise the apps including: colour coded, most used to the least used, using folders or the shelving method. ![]() How your apps are organised on your phone makes all the difference. Or even a loved photograph of your family and friends that brings you happiness and motivation. Then every time you open your phone, you will see your goal and help you to practise visualisation. You could change it to an inspiring quote or even a goal you are working towards. Change your phone backgroundĮvery so often it can be good to change your phone background. This will help you to find certain photos. Once you have decluttered the camera roll, it is a good idea to organise your photos into folders. Photographs can build up, your camera roll can become overwhelmed with all the screenshots, photos but also, pictures sent across from WhatsApp. This is something I am always working on. How many tabs do you currently have open? I used to have over 100! Over 100 tabs, just taking up space, cluttering my phone and draining my battery. ![]() If you don’t have an iPhone it may just be your internet tabs. You then have more storage for photographs and productive apps. Deleting call logs and unwanted messages can help clear the clutter on your phone. We never really need a log of all our calls but it is something we don’t necessarily think about deleting. In addition, it can stop you from having continuous emails flood your inbox. Do not continue to pay for services you are not using. Cancelling all your email subscriptions and app subscriptions. I have spoken about doing this task in my monthly reset and what to do at the start of each month. This will help free up storage on your phone but also stops you having to skip those particular songs – this is something that annoys me! 4. ![]() Have you ever scrolled through your music list and realised how many songs on your list you don’t listen to? You should go through and delete these songs you don’t listen to or like. Regularly delete these files to keep your phone clutter free. When you delete a picture or a video it doesn’t really get deleted until you remove it from your deleted folder. This list will show you what apps you used most and what apps are just using up storage space. If you have that many and are unsure about what your unused apps are, check your screen time. Delete your unused appsĪpps can accumulate quickly and before you know it your phone has so many. There are so many ways you can declutter and organise your phone, here’s how: 1. I have decided that as part of my monthly reset I will also include carrying out an audit on my iPhone, to ensure I am not carrying clutter around on my phone too! If our phones are cluttered and messy – it can lead to frustration. They enable us to keep in contact with loved ones, manage our calendars, search the internet and much more. Whether we want them to or not, they have become an invaluable tool in our lives. You may be have different aspects of your life organised, but what about your phone?
